An original atmospheric landscape painting inspired by the change of seasons in the hills and valleys of the Lake District. Walking around the World Heritage site that is Elterwater quarry and walking over the historic Slaters bridge I absorbed the history and heritage of such a beautiful landscape.
Colours are blended, layered and drips create a surface full of interest and hidden depths.
I wanted to create a calming piece with a tranquil atmosphere taken from nature and infused into your interiors. A piece of artwork that soothes the soul at the end of a long day.

About the Artist
Nicola Briggs is a Manchester-based artist and ceramicist with a BA(Hons) in Design: Ceramics Arts from Staffordshire University. She creates atmospheric landscape paintings and nature-inspired porcelain ceramics from her UK studio, capturing the quiet beauty of natural textures and light.

Lovely ring holder, very well made and looks just like the picture. I always have mine by the sink ready for when washing up so I know where I've put them. Packaged so lovely if giving it as a gift.
The bowl is beautiful - a one off piece. There was a complication with the original bowl breaking in the post. Nicola immediatley offered to make a replacement, delivered it to our house in Manchester and included a smaller bowl as a gesture of good will. Fantastic production values, service and generosity.
