After recently walking the hillsides in the beautiful Lake District, observing the vibrancy of the yellow gorse bushes in full bloom against the lush green grasses and the sunlight over the landscape, I created this painting based on the emotions and memory of the day walking in nature and the history of Elterwater and the Langdale valley.
